_____________

UNO IS MORE THAN AN ACRONYM…
It represents the One God all believers in Christ live to glorify.
It represents the one Body of Jesus Christ pursuing God in prayer for unity of the Church in northeast Ohio.
It describes the one voice with which we come together to praise the glorious God.
Its intersecting lines depict the joining of believers to serve God outside our churches, where we live, work and play.

____________

As a movement of God among His people in Northeast Ohio, UNO is uniquely Christian. So for clear communication and conscience, UNO sets for these statements as the guiding truths for the movement:

1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God, sufficient for all of life and powerful to transform every individual. [2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:3]

2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. [Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14]

3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. [Colossians 1:19; 1 Timothy 2:5]

4. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and minister in power, grace, and truth. [Ephesians 1:13-14; 1 Thessalonians 1:5]

5. We believe that everyone is corrupted by sin and unable to save themselves, therefore the only hope of salvation is the completed work of Christ, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit. [Romans 3:23; 2 Corinthians 5:21]

6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost—they that are saved unto the resurrection of life in glory and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation in hell.  [Matthew 25:46; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; John 5:29]

7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and in their oneness in Christ as His Bride, the Church, as expressed in the gatherings of autonomous local churches.  [Ephesians 2:19-22; Philippians 2:1-3]

With these steadfast truths, the purpose of UNO will continue to be:

A Kingdom focused movement of believers seeking a God-given, Jesus centered, Holy Spirit empowered unity through prayer, praise and service.

Testimonials:

“I am so excited by the way God is sovereignly drawing pastors and congregations, across denominational lines together, to unite in Jesus Christ! Events like these UNO worship gatherings, are a direct answer to the prayer that Jesus prayed for us in John 17, that we would all be ONE in Him. With Jesus as our focus, the major issues that have divided the Church for so long, do not have to keep us from coming together to pray for revival, to worship God and to serve the world in Christ’s Name. So don’t miss out on what God is doing–come celebrate and glorify Jesus with us on October 11!”
~ Rev. Kelly Irish | St. Anne’s Anglican Church, Madison Ohio ~

“Being involved in UNO has been an unexpected delight amidst the challenges of ministry, rapid pace of life and just overall business. I am blessed to be a part of this HUGE work God is doing in our midst and am eager to see what He will do among His people in the days to come!”
~ Mark Winner | Cornerstone Friends Church, Madison Ohio ~

“Unity in Northeast Ohio has introduced me to some of the most humble people in this area. They are people who are filled with the Holy Spirit and committed to being “The Church” instead of just “their church”. The people in UNO make Jesus the focus; unity is just the by-product of that. I feel called to this movement and have blessed by it.”
~ Dave Negin | Crossroads Community Church, Madison Ohio ~

“The best part of UNO…humility.  I’ve never experienced a better application of people submitting to one another!  It’s a great picture of “less of us, and more of Him.”  I’m so grateful to be a part of this movement of the Spirit of God and look forward to seeing what He is going to do!”
~  Jeff Pierce | Leroy Community Chapel ~

“I am truly looking forward to be part of this movement of God to unite the Christian church! From my earliest memory of being called into ministry I have desired to see this happen. Numerous attempts in the past have had little or no results. This is truly a God thing happening in our midst. There is so much more for us to learn from one another – the challenges of ministry in our time compels us to link arms and march forward in unison. See you at “Trust He Word”!
~ Jeff Sivyer | The Grove Church, Painesville Twp. Ohio ~

“Birthed in the heart of God, through the desperate seeking of God, by Pastors, Lay leaders, and other men and women of God all around Northeast Ohio, the UNO movement is taking shape as a Christ-centered, multi-denominational, movement of Unity in the Body of Christ. I have been amazed at how fast UNO has grown, continues to grow and impact our communities through prayer, worship and service. After twenty years in ministry, this is the FIRST time that I have seen this level of unity in the Body of Christ. UNO is a model for believers and a testimony to unbelievers that the Church is not buildings, traditions or signs over a door, but a now VISIBLE, hungry, dedicated melting pot of everyday people like you and me with ONE desire, Christ Glorified”
~ Pastor Bob August | Iglesia El Faro (The Lighthouse) Painesville, Ohio ~
